One of the secret elements to your success within the Four Percent Group is what we call your Multiple Streams of Income.

When you access this page in your members’ portal, you will see a list of software tools that we recommend as part of your online business.

We call these tools picks and shovels.

They are meant to signal the fact that they are basic tools that you need to run your business, just like picks and shovels are basic tools for running a construction company.

You Own a Hardware Store

But the beauty of the MSI system is that if anyone joins your team and subscribes to one of these software tools, you will receive an affiliate commission directly from that company.  This is triggered automatically once you have entered your affiliate IDs into the MSI page.

This is why I like to tell new members that they are the owners of a hardware store. The difference is that you don’t have to man the shop.  The system sells the tools for you and produces income automatically.

Setting Up Your Multiple Streams of Income

To setup your Multiple Streams of Income (MSI), head over to the MSI page in your members’ portal.

DOUBLE DOG IMPORTANT: It is critically important that you perform these steps inside of the MSI page in your members’ portal.

This is the only way we can ensure that your sponsor receives credit for your software subscriptions.

We will direct your team members to do the same so you receive credit when they purchase their software tools.

There are two steps in the MSI setup:

  1. First, you will have to subscribe to the software tools you will need to run your business (see my comments later on)
  2. Secondly, you will have to become an affiliate of every company within the MSI page

Beware of Duplicates

Now, it is not necessary to subscribe to every tool on the MSI page. This is because there are some duplicate software systems in the list.

For example, both Clickfunnels and Leadpages are landing page creators.  Likewise, Aweber and Getresponse are autoresponders. In terms of these tools, pick one from each set and then become an affiliate for both.

For each software tool, you should watch the accompanying video for setting up an account, subscribing to or becoming an affiliate for that product.

Afterward, you should enter your affiliate ID next to each software tool so that you can receive credit when one of your team members makes a purchase.

NOTE: As of this writing, you had to subscribe to Lead Pages to be an affiliate of this product.  All the rest of the products have free affiliate programs.

Which Tools Should I Purchase

For every software tool in this business you will have fanatics and detractors, happy users and not so happy former users.

Each software program however is a professional grade Internet Marketing tool with 10s of 1000s of users and you should feel comfortable when investing in any of them.

In terms of Clickfunnels vs. Leadpages, it is not fair to compare them.

Clickfunnels is $97 per month while Leadpages comes in at $37 per month.  Clickfunnels is a landing page creator + it has a host of other robust features : 1) autoresponder capabilities; 2) membership site functionality; 3) upsells and downsells 4) integration with payment processors, among other things.

Leadpages is more of a lead capture software.

A nice feature of Clickfunnels is the ability to share your funnels with any other Clickfunnels user.  This means that if you were to develop a great converting funnel, you could share it with your team so that they could hit the ground running and start earning commissions a lot sooner vs. taking time to build out their funnels.

In terms of autoresponders, pick one and go with it.  You will have fans on both sides.

Become an Expert in Your Tools

Finally, let me say something about knowing your tools.

If you want to develop as an entrepreneur, you must become adept at using the tools at your disposal.  The best carpenters, the master craftsmen (or women) as we call them, know how to create beautiful furniture.  They command a high price for their services because you know you are getting an expert in their field.

This is what you should strive to become as a digital marketer.

Most people in this business are driving their software tools in first gear.

They are simply interested in slapping up a landing page so they can make money in the quickest amount of time.  But that is how amateurs think, not real entrepreneurs in the making.

Each software tool that we recommend for your business is like a fine race car.  Each possesses a staggering amount of features.

For example, did you know that GetResponse (the autoresponder) has a built-in landing page function?

Did you know you could create workflows in GetResponse to send out different campaigns to your list based on the actions THEY take with your e-mails?

Information like this is power for your business!

Thus, the quicker you can wrap your mind around these features, unlock their benefits and begin using them in your business, the quicker your business will grow and the more you will outshine your competition.

In the long run, a couple of things will happen:

  1. People will flock to join your team because they want to associate with someone who knows what they are doing.
  2. You can translate your expertise in a software tool into consulting or video courses to help people save time or cut down their learning curve.  Indeed, some marketers have become so adept at using Clickfunnels or Getresponse that they make their full-time living showing people what they know.

Trust me on this.  I have personally tested out and benefitted from this practice.

So don’t sit around waiting for others to show you how to use your race car.  And for Pete’s sake, don’t drive your race car in first gear.  Experiment.  Poke around.  Watch training videos.  Become an expert.

Secret Sauce to Expertise

One final comment.  Would you like to know my secret sauce for becoming an expert in a particular software?

Are you ready?

Read the user’s manual cover to cover.

That’s it.  It’s dirty work but I guarantee you three things:

  1. None of your competition will do this
  2. You will unlock so many secrets to your software that people will think you are cheating in your business
  3. You will become an expert in that software tool

And this is a beautiful place to be as an Internet marketer.
