2) Create a list
Within your autoresponder, you will need to create what’s called a list. This is the place where your prospects’ e-mails will be stored.
It’s not very complicated. You’ll need a list name, YOUR contact information, which appears on every e-mail as part of an anti-spam policy.
3) Create a series of e-mails
Next, you’ll need to create a series of e-mails that you want every subscriber to your list to receive. If you are trying to promote a product, then you can schedule a series of 7 e-mails for example that lists the features and benefits, handle objections and so forth.
You decide on the number and the schedule. The first should go out right after someone subscribes to your list. This is the intro e-mail that introduces you and your brand.
4) Create a form
Once you have an automated series, you then create a form inside of your autoresponder to capture your prospects’ e-mail address and maybe contact name. Less is better.
However, some businesses require a sales call, and so you’ll want to capture your prospects’ phone number on your form.
Your form is connected to your e-mail list and then it is placed inside of your website with a code that you receive from the autoresponder.
You can also get fancy and build what are called Landing Pages. These are very nice looking web pages that have a form built into them to capture e-mail leads.
